Exosphere: The outer region of Earth’s atmosphere, which extends to 6,200 miles.

Thermosphere: This region is below the exosphere and above the mesosphere and is 372 miles high. Auroras occur in this layer, and satellites are placed there.

Mesosphere: This layer burns up meteors and extends to 53 miles high.

Stratosphere: It extends to 31 miles high and includes the ozone layer. The ozone layer disperses the sun’s UV radiation into the stratosphere. This layer is the most concerning layer when is comes to pollution and global warming.

Troposphere: Starting at the Earth’s surface it extends 5-9 miles and is very dense. This sphere contains weather.

This is a short draft of a scene for my recently created character, Austin. I have not completed a full story for Austin, but this is a good sample of what type of writing I have been doing.

Austin, standing on top of the cliff edge was reeling with excitement. He could already feel the adrenaline rushing through his veins, the freedom was enough to convince anyone that they could fly. However, that doesn't mean you should forget your parachute.

"You ready?" Jim said, eager to observe.

"Yeah, just Let me attach the gopro. Almost got it... there! Now just watch and learn." Austin replied.

"Wow, you talk a big game, but until you're off that cliff and doing flips, I won't be learning anything."

"Oh yeah, I don't talk, or even walk, I just jump!" he said confidently, as he took a backwards leap off of the cliff edge.

As Austin fell, all he could hear were the faint cheers of his slightly less adventurous friends, and the air rushing into his ears. Stunned by his own confidence he faltered for just a second. Soon realizing that he had very limited time to do the flips he'd been practicing for months, Austin started the motions mid air. Flip after flip he effortlessly made stunning motions as if there could be no end to his hang time. Backflip into a 360, into a front roll, even dabbing along the way. All he could feel was adrenaline, but more importantly he felt alive. The feeling when you know your purpose and can, at least for a moment,  be truly happy. Of course even pure joy cannot prolong the effects of gravity. Austin quickly grabbed the strap and released his parachute hurdling towards the water at a comet's pace. SPLASH!. For a moment his party remained silent, uncertain how hard he'd hit the surface of the water. One...two... three... WHOOSH!. Austin exploded out of the water, throwing his hands up in the air out of triumph. "Jump you babies, the water's fine!" he screamed at the top of his lungs.
